LAS VEGAS (July 13, 2026) - The Las Vegas Desert Dogs announced today, July 13, that Gordon Weigers has been named Vice President of Marketing & Communications.
In his new role, Weigers will oversee all marketing, communications, content, and brand strategy across all business verticals.
Weigers, 31, joins the Desert Dogs with an impressive background in sports marketing, communications, digital strategy and analytics. Throughout his career, he's helped sports organizations better understand and grow fan engagement through innovative content strategies, data-driven decision making, and a passion for storytelling.
A native of Northport, New York, Weigers spent more than seven years leading digital content efforts for the Vegas Golden Knights (NHL), Henderson Silver Knights (AHL), Vegas Knight Hawks (IFL) and Lee’s Family Forum. He is the co-author of the Golden Knights’ official book documenting their Stanley Cup victory in 2023 titled: It Hurts To Win: The Official Inside Story of the 2022-23 Stanley Cup Champion Vegas Golden Knights. He has been a Las Vegas resident since 2018.
Weigers served as Director, Digital Content Strategy for the Golden Knights until 2025 when he joined Ripple Analytics as Senior Director of Sales.
