LAS VEGAS (Feb. 27, 2026) – The Las Vegas Desert Dogs (4–6) and the Vancouver Warriors (8–3) battled it out for the second time this season, but the Dogs were unable to earn revenge as the Warriors secured a 14–10 win. Tyson Gibson and Ben Seone, who was playing in his first National Lacrosse League game, both saw action in the black and white for the first time this season tonight.
The Vancouver Warriors broke through first halfway through the first quarter with a powerplay shot from the top of the offensive zone and once again flying through the crease. Chris Cloutier got the Dogs going after that, soaring through the crease as well. The Warriors would respond with a goal. After the first, the Warriors led 3-1.
Jonathan Donville opened the scoring early for the Dogs in the second, slicing to the net and stuffing one home. The Desert Dogs and Warriors traded goals throughout the second quarter, with Vancouver scoring five while the Dogs scored three from Adam Poitras, Tony Malcom, and Kyle Kille. The Warriors took a three-goal, 8-5 lead into halftime.
Vancouver continued their scoring run, opening the third quarter with four goals. The Dogs failed to score in the third, allowing the Warriors to take a commanding 12–5 lead heading into the final frame.
For the Dogs, Brandon Goodwin, Killen, Donville, and Poitras had two goals all in the fourth, but it was not enough to mount a comeback. The Desert Dogs dropped this one, 14–10.
The Desert Dogs will hit the road next week to take on the Halifax Thunderbirds on Saturday, March 7 at 3 p.m. PST. Las Vegas will be back home for our special St. Paddy’s Sunday, Tucker Out Lymphoma, on March 15 at 3 p.m. PST.
