DESERT DOGS 2025-26 TRAINING CAMP UPDATES AND TRANSACTIONS

The Desert Dogs kicked off their first of four Training Camps on October 31 in Las Vegas. The Dogs will also host training camps in Ontario, Buffalo and San Diego.

Below is a brief breakdown of each player on the Training Camp roster:

No. 2 Drew Belgrave, D
Entering his seventh year, Belgrave was traded to Las Vegas last season from the San Diego Seals, appearing in 11 games for the Desert Dogs. In those games, he collected 51 loose balls, caused nine turnovers, and blocked five shots.

No. 3 Jonathan Donville, F
The former Rookie of the Year led all Desert Dogs with 63 assists and 84 total points in his first season with Las Vegas. He was acquired second overall in the Panther City dispersal draft. Additionally, Donville tallied 19 power-play points and 82 loose-ball recoveries.

No. 4 Tony Malcolm, T
Malcolm also arrives from the Philadelphia Wings on a one-year deal, adding valuable depth to the Desert Dogs’ defensive unit. Across eight NLL seasons, he has collected 704 loose balls and established himself as a versatile two-way player.

No. 5 Ben Soenen, D
Soenen was the Desert Dogs’ second pick in the 2025 NLL Entry Draft. A standout at Young Harris College, he recorded 257 ground balls and forced 166 turnovers over four collegiate seasons.

No. 6 Luke Pilcher, F
Drafted in the second round of the 2023 NLL Draft out of the Rochester Institute of Technology and the Brooklin Lacrosse Club, Pilcher appeared in one game last year, recording a goal and an assist.

No. 8 Chase Fraser, F
Fraser joins the Desert Dogs from the Buffalo Bandits via free agency, where he won three consecutive NLL championships in 2023, 2024, and 2025. The 30-year-old forward is expected to boost the Dogs’ offense, having scored 151 goals and recorded 108 assists over six NLL seasons.

No. 12 Lucas Parsons, T
Parsons signed with the Desert Dogs during the offseason following time spent with the Australian Box Lacrosse team and the Burnaby Lakers of the WLA. With Burnaby, he posted 10 points and a shooting percentage of 28.6%, showcasing strong offensive efficiency from the transition position.

No. 13 Connor Sellars, D
Sellars was added the Las Vegas Desert Dogs via free agency this year. He is a former 10th overall pick by the Georgia Swarm in the 2016 NLL Draft and member of their 2017 Champions Cup team. He was a standout at (174 points in 48 games) and Jr. A Brampton Excelsior.

No. 14 Brandon Goodwin, T
Goodwin won the Desert Dogs’ Defensive Player of the Year award. As a defensive leader, he led the team in blocked shots (12) while also recovering 76 loose balls and contributing 21 points. He joined Las Vegas during the 2024 dispersal draft, selected 26th overall.

No. 15 John LaFontaine, T
Lafontaine joined the Desert Dogs this offseason through free agency. Entering his 14th NLL season and sixth different team, he brings veteran leadership and versatility. Throughout his career, he has tallied 106 points and 508 loose-ball recoveries.

No. 16 Mitch Jones, F
Jones joins Las Vegas after spending last season with the Philadelphia Wings. The 12-year veteran is coming off a career-best 2024–25 campaign, recording 111 points (30 G, 81 A).

No. 17 Graydon Stokes, D
Chosen 34th overall in the 2025 NLL Entry Draft, Stokes developed with the Orangeville Minor Lacrosse Club before joining the Desert Dogs. He brings over 80 games of defensive experience and a solid understanding of the box game.

No. 18 Curtis Ward, F
Selected with the final pick in the 2025 NLL Entry Draft, Ward had a breakout year in the Arena Lacrosse League, tallying 94 points in 14 games and leading Brampton to a championship with a league-best 22 playoff points. He continued his strong play over the summer, stepping up to Jr. A with the Peterborough Lakers and leading the team with 67 points (20 G, 47 A).

No. 19 Adam Poitras, T
Poitras was the Desert Dogs’ first-round draft pick in 2024 and went on to earn All-Rookie Team honors while being named a Rookie of the Year finalist. He ranked fourth on the team in scoring with 23 goals and 23 assists.

No. 25 Chris Cloutier, F
Cloutier also joins the Desert Dogs from the Buffalo Bandits through free agency, reuniting with his former teammate Fraser. The 29-year-old forward has notched 128 goals and 159 assists in six NLL seasons.

No. 27 Jonathan Gagliardi, T
Gagliardi was acquired by Las Vegas in a trade with the Vancouver Warriors and signed a two-year contract in 2023. Known for his physical play, he has recorded a combined 106 penalty minutes over his career, including a team-leading 60 minutes last season.

No. 34 Connor Kirst, T
Kirst enters his fifth year in the NLL and has been with the Desert Dogs since their inaugural 2022 season after being selected in the expansion draft. Named team captain at the start of the 2024–25 season, he was also voted the Desert Dogs’ Teammate of the Year. Kirst led the team with 23 caused turnovers last season.

No. 42 Landon Kells, G
Kells was acquired from the Calgary Roughnecks in the team’s expansion draft. A product of Conestoga College, he won the Mann Cup in 2019. With the Desert Dogs, Kells has posted a .760 save percentage and a 12.56 goals-against average throughout his career.

No. 44 Josh Jackson, D
Jackson was signed in free agency in 2023 after playing collegiate lacrosse at the University of Indianapolis. Over his two seasons with Las Vegas, he has appeared in 27 games, recording 83 loose balls and forcing 18 turnovers.

No. 50 Caleb Khan, G
Drafted 17th overall in the 2025 NLL Entry Draft, Khan is the youngest player on the Desert Dogs roster at just 18 years old. He logged the fourth-most minutes among WLA goalies this past summer and posted an impressive .810 save percentage.

No. 51 Sean Westley, F
A product of St. Bonaventure University and the Brooklin Lacrosse Club, Westley was selected 26th overall in the 2022 NLL Entry Draft. He posted an 11-point sophomore season and collected 14 loose-ball recoveries.

No. 52 Nick Preston, T
Preston enters his second NLL season after being signed in free agency ahead of his rookie year. As a rookie, he tallied six points, blocked five shots, and recorded 51 loose-ball recoveries.

No. 52 Tyson Gibson, F
Former first overall pick, Gibson joins the Desert Dogs during Free agency. In his 57-game career with the Colorado Avalanche and New York Riptide he has scored 181 points (61G, 120A).

No. 61 Ronin Pusch, T
Pusch appeared in seven career games with the Panther City Lacrosse Club, recording two assists. He joined the Desert Dogs as a free agent signing and will look to contribute for Las Vegas.

No. 66 Max Wayne, D
Wayne was claimed in free agency in 2024 after being released by the New York Riptide. He previously played collegiate lacrosse at Christopher Newport University and in the Premier Lacrosse League. He appeared in three games late in the 2024–25 season.

No. 67 Kyle Killen, F
Killen enters his sixth NLL season and second with the Desert Dogs. Acquired in a trade from the Vancouver Warriors in 2024, he finished his first season in Las Vegas with the fifth-most points on the team, 42 total (20 G, 22 A).

No. 71 Sheldon Burns, D
Burns signed a one-year deal with the Desert Dogs in March 2025 after joining from free agency. The veteran defenseman enters his 11th NLL season, having recorded 497 loose balls over the course of his career.

No. 72 Alex Buque, G
Buque is a veteran goaltender who has appeared in over 70 games, collected more than 1,000 saves, and posted a career save percentage around .770. He was brought into Las Vegas in Free Agency to compete with the other Desert Dog goalies the starting goalie job.

No. 76 Justin Geddie, G
Geddie was acquired from the Albany FireWolves in a trade in May 2024 but missed the start of the 2024–25 season due to injury. After returning, he gradually took over as the starting goaltender, stopping 225 of the 301 shots he faced for a .748 save percentage across 14 games played.

No. 77 Logan Mellish, D
Mellish was drafted in the fourth round of the 2025 NLL Entry Draft and brings a strong, physical presence to the Desert Dogs’ defense. He captured the Minto Cup with the Coquitlam Adanacs in 2024.

No. 88 Rhys Blake, D
Blake was signed as a free agent to compete for a roster spot during training camp. He brings experience from both the Arena Lacrosse League and the Western Lacrosse Association.

No. 91 Jackson Webster, F
Webster was drafted by the Desert Dogs in the third round of the 2024 NLL Draft. He made his first start in Week 6, leading the team to its first win with three goals and three assists. He was named the Pack’s Player of the Year, finishing the season with 16 goals and 21 assists.

No. 95 Tyrell Hamer-Jackson, T
Hamer-Jackson joined the Desert Dogs midway through the 2024–25 season via free agency. The fifth-year player is a faceoff specialist, having won 313 of 763 career faceoffs for a 41% success rate.
